Following the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, the European Union must take action to remain strong and independent in an increasingly competitive world. As global powers grow more aggressive—both economically and militarily—and key partners turn isolationist, the need for comprehensive EU reform has never been more urgent.

What will it take to strengthen the European Union? Leading MEPs from the five largest pro-European groups in the European Parliament will outline their reform agenda (dubbed Project 27) in this press conference, addressing the most pressing needs for EU reform.
