Thu 3 July 21h: Budapest Pride: We Celebrate How 200,000 Are Changing the Future of Hungary and the EU!
200,000 brave Hungarians took to the streets in Budapest to demonstrate for freedom, democracy, and self-determination – and against Orbán’s regime. Despite Orbán’s ban, the threat of €500 fines, and far-right counter-demonstrations, not only the queer community but the broad center of society came out in force. Perhaps the largest demonstration in Hungary since the fall of the Iron Curtain became a celebration of freedom. 70 Members of the European Parliament joined the demonstrators in for their protection.
Which courageous women and men made this success possible? What does this historic day mean for Hungary’s future and for the elections in April next year? Who is Péter Magyar (TISZA), who is leading Orbán in the polls? How does the corruption of the Orbán regime affect everyday life and the election?
Register now for Thursday, July 3, 9:00–10:00 PM via Zoom:
